ENACT took part in the DATAMITE Meet-up Event, held in Athens, Greece, where it was represented by project partners CERTH and ICCS-NTUA. The event brought together leading European initiatives, researchers, and innovators to exchange experiences and explore synergies in the fields of data management, interoperability, and digital transformation.
At the dedicated ENACT booth, the consortium presented its vision for the Cognitive Computing Continuum (CCC) and its ongoing work to optimize distributed applications across the edge–cloud continuum. Visitors to the stand had the opportunity to learn how ENACT is developing AI-driven orchestration and adaptive management tools that enable applications to dynamically allocate computing resources, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and scalability in real-time environments.
The discussions highlighted ENACT’s contribution to shaping Europe’s next generation of distributed, intelligent, and resource-aware digital infrastructures. The project’s representatives emphasized how ENACT’s technical framework—spanning architecture, orchestration, and application programming models—supports seamless interaction between cloud and edge layers, helping to unlock new capabilities for sectors such as smart mobility, media streaming, and industrial automation.
Participation in the DATAMITE Meet-up also underscored ENACT’s commitment to collaborative innovation within the broader European ecosystem. Through active engagement with projects like DATAMITE, which focuses on data monetization, interoperability, and trust-enhancing technologies, ENACT continues to strengthen its role in advancing common standards and interoperable frameworks that facilitate secure and efficient data sharing across domains.
The event served as a valuable platform for building new connections, identifying potential collaborations, and aligning technical approaches with other initiatives working toward the realization of Europe’s Cognitive Computing Continuum. These exchanges will contribute to ensuring that ENACT’s results remain interoperable, reusable, and impactful beyond the project’s lifetime.
As ENACT progresses into its next development phase, its participation in events such as the DATAMITE Meet-up reinforces its position at the forefront of Europe’s efforts to bridge the gap between edge and cloud computing, promoting innovation, efficiency, and sustainability across the digital landscape.
